My last pair of bloomers
November 15th, 2005 ~ Just a slice of heavenWell, it has decided to start being November, so this is the last color I’ll get from my garden till next year.
. I had the nerve to plant these two tall cosmos plants so late in the summer that they had to rough it out in September and October when all other cosmos plants have smugly gone to seed. These two troopers only blossomed a couple days ago, and I thought I better grab a picture just to commemorate the occasion.
Just as well I did. Our first real snowstorm started this morning, and the cosmos are done for. Goodbye, autumn. Hello, winter.

Yikes! The flowers are beautiful, and the snow is lovely (but much colder looking!)
