Got a peach cobbler recipe?
June 14th, 2007 ~ Potpourri for 100, AlexJust using the blogosphere for my personal gain, but do any of you good cooks out there have a recipe you really like for Peach Cobbler? My mom is coming in about a week and she and I both love it, but I’ve never found a recipe I quite like. I could go internet hunting, but it’s hard to know where you stand with online recipes. Something like a good cobbler seems like something that a person ought to just keep working on and developing until it’s just right — sweet, crumbly and bubbly from the oven. (Oops, got some drool on the keyboard there.)
And the fun is that I have enough time to test out a batch just to make sure it’ll be worthy before serving it to her. I’m really a martyr that way.

What a heavy cross to bear, dear Grace.
My hubby makes a good peach cobbler, let me ask him the recipe.

Sotto voce advice: Assemble the thing the day before she arrives and put it in the fridge, then put it in the oven when she’s there. If she’s around when you’re assembling it, she will NOT be able to stop herself from … you know, adjusting the recipe. With the usual tragicomic results.
