Getting all Christmas-d up here

December 10th, 2005 ~ Just a slice of heaven

Outside things are beginning to go drip, drip, drip, which is a good thing, but it means that I don’t have much time. I need to get my fill of all this winter wonderland stuff so I can write Greg’s and my Christmas newsletter.

Not that the Currier & Ives view is mandatory, but y’know, I like all the help I can get. So I also made up some mulled cider and had an iced sugar cookie. I’d put on the Bing Crosby Christmas album, but I’m afraid that that would just make Christmas spontaneously happen (and with all these shopping days still left to go!).

So of course, I really need to stop doing this silly pointless blog entry about it all and write the dang thing. But I just wanted to add one impression that won’t have a place in the newsletter: It really is just the loveliest time. Hope everyone is managing to grab a moment here and there to enjoy (as the cards say) all the blessings of the Advent season. Isn’t it marvelous to find something about it that still makes you look forward to Christmas Day as much as you did when you were a kid? God is good.Currier n Ives

    Indeed!

I need to write my letters and my cards haven’t arrived yet. Hopefully in the next couple of days.

Although, as I always remind my mom, I have plenty of time since Christmas is a 12 day feast! ;)
