Culture of death update
March 19th, 2005 ~ Potpourri for 100, AlexTerry Schiavo is on the first day of being starved to death. If no one intercedes, she will live about two weeks. Her parents don’t want that, nor the rest of her family, nor the governor, nor Congress, nor many other people like myself who had never heard of her six months ago but thought there was something they read somewhere about an American being entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Her husband, who seems to be thinking of his own quality of life (and that of his mistress and their two children), and who once asked Terri’s nurse “When’s that b**** going to die?” wants very, very much for it to happen.
So much for a woman’s right to choose.
