Odds and ends from here and there:

  • Can you believe that Michael Schiavo can still find ways to use Terry to say “I won and you lost”? That’s apparently an important enough message that he thinks it needs to be chiseled in stone. If sheer spite has life-giving qualities, Michael ought to live a very long time. Doesn’t matter though. There’s only account of things that matter, and it doesn’t take place on this side of the grave.
  • I’m really, really late getting to any thoughts on Sen. Dick Durbin’s comments, and here’s the reason why: I don’t have any thoughts. So a high-ranking Democratic senator thinks our troops are like “Nazis, Soviets in their gulags and Pol Pot.” Really? Gee, so you mean you mean a Democrat is engaging in morally cretinous hyperboler? And that liberals have no concept of what it means to be engaged in a war? Well, those are some news-flashes, I tell ya. I’m hoping the Midwest Cow Report Weekly has left its front page open for that kind of hard-breaking story.
Oh brother. The guy’s a dip. He wanted publicity and he got it. Screamer liberals are always knuckleheads. Let’s all move on.
  • John Kerry released his military records two weeks ago (only 128 days after he told Tim Russert he would), but only to three reporters at three papers. No doubt, he’s hoping to keep it away from the blogosphere as long as possible — hopeless, really. But if you’re wondering what to do till that story breaks (on the blogosphere, no doubt), go here and order junk food care packages for the troops. Hooray, Frito-Lay!
