And now, a word from your autumnal equinox …
September 22nd, 2009 ~ Just a bit of funDid a little “shopping” when I walked into town earlier and picked up these goodies:

Most of the trees haven’t started to turn yet. I’m just putting these harbingers in here as a way to tease Greg. He lives in anticipation of the fall colors all year long, and then, as luck would have it, he had to go to Houston on business the week that this autumnal pre-game show started.

Beautiful. We’ll see that in our front yard in about 3 months. On the other hand in mid-October Sedona is one of the major destinations from around the world for fall. Its about a two hour drive from my back yard…I’ve seen it twice in 40 years. sigh.

Wow! We are still green here in Northern Virginia. Now I can hardly wait!

We’re turning here too - we’ve been blessed with a very sunny streak (in the low 80s) but there’s quite a temp variation at night, and the crispness is definitely in the air.

I think it ought to be a great year for fall color. We got a nice mild summer here — not too hot — and lots of rain. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa!

Beautiful! Things are not really changing yet here in Indianapolis, but I bet that they have started at home (East Tennessee). Thanks for the great picture!
